Why did you decide to join Herbst Zerspanungs- und Messtechnik GmbH?

During my training as a mechanical engineer, I gained my first experiences with coordinate measuring technology and in the programming of coordinate measurement machines. After successfully completing my training, I decided I wanted to work in this interesting field.

I chose Herbst Zerspanungs- und Messtechnik GmbH because, here, I have the opportunity to gain further qualifications for myself and to work with state-of-the-art machines and software.

What tasks in your department do you enjoy the most?

What I value most about my work, is the variety that presents itself in external and internal measurement services. I create measurement programmes for us and for our customers. My colleagues and I also measure new components on a daily basis.

I really enjoy processing complex tasks and determining individual solutions in direct communication with customers and colleagues.

Another aspect that I particularly enjoy is capacity planning. Together with the specialist departments, I plan personnel and machine deployment to ensure frictionless processes in the company. These tasks carry a lot of responsibility, as the priorities and demands of our clients often change and we have to react flexibly.

What do you value most about your company/employer?

What I value most about Herbst Zerspanungs- und Messtechnik GmbH is that my superiors trust me to work independently. And, in emergencies I can always rely on the support of my colleagues. We work in perfect cooperation here. We are simply a great team.

Why did you decide to join Herbst Zerspanungs- und Messtechnik GmbH?

After my parental leave, I decided to pursue further commercial training.

During this further training, I was able to do an internship at Herbst Zerspanungs- und Messtechnik GmbH that lasted several weeks.

I quickly discovered that I like working in the dynamic automotive industry environment. When I was offered a job after my internship, I was very happy to have been offered a position in a mid-size company with good prospects for the future.

What tasks in your department do you enjoy the most?

Initially, I worked in the accounting and secretarial department. After a few years at the company, I became an assistant to management.

Now, alongside various administrative activities, I have a number of very different roles in my portfolio. As the “interface” between customers, employees and management, I really value interpersonal contact and good cooperation with colleagues.

With my insights into so many different fields, I can really say that no day is like any other. I really enjoy this daily variety.

What do you particularly value about your company/employer?

Herbst Zerspanungs- und Messtechnik GmbH is an innovative, highly specialised company that is always growing. For me personally, the positive work environment and future-oriented positioning of the company are important.

What I like about my employer is that every employee who makes an effort and does good work is offered opportunities that fit them. Here, you have the chance to develop yourself.

I also like the fast, direct communication within the company; you can really tell that we can react to new demands flexibly at any time.

Why did you decide to join Herbst Zerspanungs- und Messtechnik GmbH?

I joined Herbst Zerspanungs- und Messtechnik GmbH through a temping agency. At the beginning it wasn’t easy, but I liked the fact that, from the get-go, people had confidence in me. Because of these good experiences, I applied directly a year later and was accepted for a permanent position.

What tasks in your department do you enjoy the most?

I am employed as an industrial mechanic and work as needed on various machines. This means I have a very varied job and collaborate on diverse products. I find it exciting that we work on prototypes, it means you can follow our customers’ technical developments up close and personal, always learning something new.

What do you particularly value your company/employer?

When I joined Herbst Zerspanungs- und Messtechnik GmbH, I first worked as a machine operator, then as an auxiliary fitter. I am always being given new responsibilities and am being trained by my experienced colleagues to be a shift supervisor. What I value most is my employer’s training concepts. We are really a good team and try to help each other. I can truly say that it is fun working in such a collegiate way. We have a great working atmosphere
